Description: Pinnacle Placements, a leading executive recruiting firm focused on placing security industry professionals has been engaged by an international provider of contract security services who seeks a Business Development Director targeted and focused upon outside sales in the Federal Government vertical market nationwide. This is an individual contributors role and does not manage any direct reports. The position reports to a Senior Vice President. Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities include: Establish, build and develop high quality business partnerships with potential client partners at the federal level nationwide. Prospect and develop leads through a variety of sources and networks leading to RFP’s, bids and presentations. Through a consultative and collaborative style, analyze client needs, prepare and submit proposals that will create a value proposition. Attend industry specific tradeshows and events. Actively participate in associations and networks which will assist in building the corporate brand and identity. Collaborate with sales and operations management in the company to ensure and demonstrate commitment to customer needs and satisfaction before and after implementation of services. Commit yourself to operate with the highest level of ethics and integrity with all colleagues and customers. Requirements: Required Skills: Proven track record of sales excellence. Demonstrated results as a sales prospector and hunter. Ability to work in a team oriented environment as an individual contributor. Existing, established realtionships with federal government buyers and full knowledge of the vendor bid process and regulations. Demonstrated organizational skills which include the ability to plan sales prospecting calls, coordinate the bid process and conduct effective sales presentations. Strong interpersonal communication skills, writing and speaking skills. Effective leadership skills which include the ability to influence others while building internal and external partnerships. Proficiency with computer programs (Windows) with the ability to effectively create, customize and edit reports and presentations. Ability to travel including overnight stays.
